Darts produce a "tapping" sound when they hit the board, which can be quite disruptive to the player or their neighbors. Karella, in collaboration with soundproofing experts, has developed the perfect solution to almost completely eliminate this noise. Dart players have been waiting for such an invention for a long time.
The secret lies in the material composition and construction:
The two-part Karella soundproofing system consists of a sound-insulating core, to which the steel dartboard is attached, and a surrounding sound-insulating ring with a diameter of 45 cm. Both parts are made from millions of highly specialized sound-insulating fibers. The interaction between the sound-insulating core and the surrounding ring achieves almost complete noise decoupling. When the dart hits the board, the dull tapping sound is transmitted via the back of the dartboard to the entire fiberboard. Professional measurements have demonstrated a noise reduction of over 80% in adjacent rooms. The measured values were below 30 dB, thus fully respecting legally mandated nighttime quiet hours. The anthracite-colored Karella Compact soundproofing insert has the exact diameter of a standard tournament dartboard. It is therefore compatible with all surrounds and lighting systems. The Karella soundproofing insert is 100% made in Germany.
The fiber material is tested for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and contains no chemical additives. It is odorless and environmentally friendly. The soundproofing insert is very dimensionally stable, making it extremely robust and durable, as it is virtually wear-free.
Scope of delivery: soundproofing core, soundproofing ring (Ø45 cm), 3 dartboard adjustment wedges, wall plugs, and screws. (Dartboard not included)
