Metallschäfte have a higher weight than plastic shafts. This trajectory is stabilized, if the shafts are straight. Metal Shafts are therefore particularly recommended for professionals. However, they have the disadvantage that they can be easily bent, eg if they fall on the ground. Even slight damage can degrade the flight characteristics drastically. It is therefore often to exchange and use new shafts - even with eyes barely visible damages exist.
